This beautiful exchange

Our bags are packed, our dog is kenneled and we have passports in hand. We are off to Spain, ladies and gentlemen! (I swear there are only four of you who read this blog!)

Our plane leaves Dulles Airport at 5:45pm. It appears that the weather is cooperating, so we do not expect any delays. We have plenty of books to read and even pocket-sized checkers and chess games to entertain us on our 11 hour flight. Our first stop will be Munich, Germany. Sure hope the airport is nice because that’s all we’ll see! There, we will catch our plane to Spain. I hope it doesn’t RAIN! ha ha! Get it? Moving on. Around 11am (in Europe) on Wednesday morning, we will land in Barcelona where we will be greeted by Mr. Derek Jenkins, himself! So very exciting.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to post anything while we are there. I will try to post a few pictures along the way, so please feel free to check back throughout the week. We will also ring the “celebration bell” if we get the final word on our new house.

Unless we catch the bird flu and are unable to reenter the country, we’ll be back on the 29th!
