Home Again
We have made it back to Virginia, all safe and sound. We’ve picked up Grammy, so the Evans Family of Virginia has been once again reunited.
Right now, though it is only 8pm, it feels as if it is 3am. So, we are tired and ready to crash. I will post more after there has been much resting and unpacking.
Here are just a few highlights:
1. Talked to a fine Dutch couple while dining in Barcelona. They were VERY interesting to talk to and had many traveling stories.
2. Had to flee Paris by renting a car to avoid the protests. Sure hope Derek isn’t stuck in France tonight after returning the car.
3. Watched a televised Barcelona vs. Portugal football (soccer) game with the locals. It really is a city-wide affair. I’m sorry that we didn’t get to hear the firecrackers in the streets to celebrate the scores. Unfortunately, the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
Pictures and stories to come, I promise. Must sleep now.
