While watching the new Pride & Prejudice movie.

him: Can you pause it while I go to the bathroom?

me: Sure. (chuckle)

him: What?

me: I think it’s cute that you like this movie so much you want to me to pause it so you don’t miss anything.

him: It’s not cute. It’s very rugged and manly.

Conversation one evening before dinner.

him: The dog and I are mad at you.

me: What could I have done to make you both mad at me?

him: We have our reasons.

me: Are they good ones?

him: No, but we have them.

  • Val,

Your 30th looks much more exciting than mine. My brothers and sister-in-law did take me to Houston’s. Tony had to work. I think 29 was harder than 30. I feel old most of the time but I think it has more to do with having children and being tired all the time:) The truth be told, I wouldn’t want to be in my 20’s anymore. I’m starting to think of them as the way I think of my teens. There were some fun times, but I’m done with that time in my life. I’m ready to move on. There’s SO MUCH self focus and dealing with the reality of becoming an adult and taking on adult responsibilities in your 20’s. I feel more settled into my adulthood now. Yay 30’s! Here we come.
