We were robbed.

No, seriously. Two sons of bitches broke into our house Thursday morning around 10:00 a.m. We are still trying to sort through things to determine what is missing while cleaning off finger printing dust.

Thankfully, we were not at home at the time and no one was hurt. Right now, we’re just angry and scared. And, probably angry BECAUSE we’re scared. They took quite a lot of small things from us, but the worst part are those that are not replaceable. Tony can’t replace the 50+ year old shotgun that used to be his grandfather’s. I can’t replace the turqoius ring that my grandma used to wear and gave to me several years ago. Most of what was taken are just “things” but some have memories tied to them that make them special to us. However, it could have been worse, and we are so grateful that it wasn’t.

Sorry for the short post, but our minds are elsewhere. Hopefully, I’ll be back in full swing next week. Until then, lock your doors, close your windows, and hug your dogs.

  • Val! I’m so sorry to hear that! What sort of things are you missing? I’m just so glad that neither you nor Tony were in the house when they broke in! Have the police found any of your things yet?
