This beautiful exchange

My brother, Derek, got married a couple weeks ago. It is quite possible that I cried more during the ceremony than the bride and groom! I was just so proud of him, of who he has become. I was lucky enough to be a bride’s maid, which really just means that everyone in attendance was able to watch me cry as I made my way down the aisle.

It was a beautiful wedding and completely characteristic 0f Derek and Ashley. Following the ceremony, they had a cake reception at the church. Later, we had a big pot luck reception, complete with special performances and dancing.
