Progress.
This morning, I was comparing a picture of me from a little over a month ago with one that we took just yesterday. Tony and I were both amazed at how much my belly has grown. I decided to share it with all of you. Just for fun, I’ve also included the first picture we [...]

A changed woman.
If any of you knew me about 5 years ago, you would know that I did not like to cook. I wasn’t BAD at it, I just didn’t like to do it. There was something about trying to get everything done at the same time that would completely stress me out. If the meal had [...]

I’ve got the itch.
The traveling itch.
Lately, I’ve found myself reminiscing about all of the places that I have traveled, and all of the things that I loved about each place. Mostly, I’ve been thinking about the food I’ve eaten there. I think that part of the “itch” has a lot to do with the fact that I’m pregnant [...]

I apologize for my lack of blogging recently. The thing is, when one’s life is full of getting turned down for jobs, cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming the floors, and day dreaming about the baby’s room, there isn’t much to really write about. And, it’s hard to feel inspired during this season while Tony and I [...]

Getting attention while he still can.
The weather in North Carolina can be a very interesting phenomenon. It is the only place I know of where you need the heater on at night and the air conditioner on during the day. During the winter, the nights can get below 40, just enough where you need a little heat to keep you [...]

Things most often heard at job interviews these days.
“OH LOOK, you’re pregnant!”
“I’ve heard a lot about you. The most interesting thing to me is that you’re pregnant.”
“I can’t imagine trying to find a job while you’re pregnant.”
“Don’t worry, we’re a family-friendly organization. I have two kids, myself.”
“My biggest concern is that you’ll have to lift a lot of boxes.”
“Of course, there is no [...]

Snow Pictures.
Sorry that I’m just now getting around to putting up these pictures.
Here are the pictures we took yesterday morning when we woke up to snow. They are from our back door, looking out over our deck, and the view from our front porch.
Alas, the snow is gone today. It was fun while it lasted!
