This beautiful exchange

The traveling itch.

Lately, I’ve found myself reminiscing about all of the places that I have traveled, and all of the things that I loved about each place. Mostly, I’ve been thinking about the food I’ve eaten there. I think that part of the “itch” has a lot to do with the fact that I’m pregnant and always hungry.

I’ve been daydreaming about the bread and wine that we ate in Barcelona, the steak and french fries we had in Paris, the beans and rice we had in La Romana and the mahi mahi sandwich we shared in Key West. And, of course, the coffee was better in the Caribbean. MMmmmm…morning coffee so strong that it’s served in tiny cups…

But, I digress.

If I could travel anywhere right now, I think it would be back to the Caribbean. It’s warm there and I have a craving for really good cantaloup and mango. OH! and fried plantains. My swimsuit would have to be the size of Connecticut, but it would be worth it.
