Baby update.
Well, as of today, I am 37 weeks along. That means I am full-term, so the baby could come anytime between now and her due date of May 23. For the most part, we are ready for her to be here. Her bed is ready, we’ve started our stash of diapers, her clothes and blankets are washed, the hospital bags are packed and our immediate family has been put on alert.
Over the last few weeks, I have grown more and more tired and uncomfortable. Walking can be a chore, and even painful at times. I don’t sleep much at night, so that means I need at least one nap during the day. Things like vacuuming the house and cleaning the bathrooms have to be done in stages. And, if I happen to drop something, it stays on the floor until someone else is willing to pick it up for me. Graham especially loves this when I’m cooking.
My favorite part of this stage is watching Tony get so excited at the thought of the baby coming soon. Everyday he tells her that he can’t wait to see her. And, if she only knew what kind of daddy was waiting for her, she’d be here tomorrow.

Isn’t it exciting to enter the month that baby will be born in?

Congratulations! I just found out I could see yours and Aubrey’s blogs…how fun! Not much longer now til you see that little girl!
I thought I was carrying Alicia low (seemed like she was always in my lap) UNTIL she DROPPED! Wow! Good thing you don’t go much longer after that!
Anyway, are you in Parents As Teachers? If not, go to their website (www.parentsasteachers.org) and see if there’s one in your area. Let me know if you want more info. They do prenatal visits as well, though this time of year (and with you so close), you might not be able to get that. But they will do screenings and give you good developmental info, etc. Anyway….congragulations!

It’s me again. We do parents as teachers too. They visit once a month during the school year. So, you probably wouldn’t get a visit since it’s May. But they may come visit you in the hospital and give you information to start visits in August or September.
