Three years strong.

Today is our anniversary. Our third year has been a very busy one. Jobs gained, jobs lost, burglary, new friends…oh, and we became parents! I think we have learned more this year than the two before. Amazingly, we are both the same and yet very different people. But, I believe that we are still good for each other and fit together better now than we did the day we were married. We are finally at the point where we have “years” behind us but we still have so many years to go.

I still cling to a quote that a friend of mine told me before Tony and I were married. I can’t remember the book it came from, but it basically said that, “marriage is for our holiness, not our happiness.” Only God could bring two people together in a way that uses their imperfections to make them better people. And, He knows that making us holy makes us happy. I am so glad that He picked Tony to be my grindstone, my protector, my partner, my love and my friend.
