Anniversary Picture.

In keeping with our yearly tradition, we took a picture of the two of us on our anniversary. Actually, it was the day after, but 20 years from now, it won’t matter.
We went to dinner and then saw the movie “Hairspray”. Other than celebrating our anniversary, the night was momentous for a different reason. It was our first time out together without Lucy. She spent the evening with some dear friends of ours. Even though things went well, I think it’s going to be a while before we’re ready to do that again!

It is hard leaving them. I remember my first outing without Katelyn. I was panicky, I kept wanting to turn to Tony and say, “let’s go” during the entire movie.
The first time we left Jake alone was while he was still in the hospital. He had to stay a week. I had been discharged, but they were allowing me to stay. Tony and I went to dinner at Steak & Shake. We still had our hospital braclets on. I felt like a mental ward escapee. It was a strange feeling not to be with him. I felt like I needed to announce to everyone in the restaurant that my baby was in the hospital and the nurses were taking care of him, and we were going right back as soon as we finish eating.

You two looked so great!! You looked so BEAUTIFUL!!! I’m glad you guys went and had a good time. I’m available as a baby drop off anytime you want to do it again (even though you said you wouldn’t for a while). I’m just glad you guys were able to get out and have some romantic, quality time together.
