This beautiful exchange

Yesterday, Grandma Hill (my mom) and Great-Grandma Varner (my grandma) came down for the day. Our goal was to play “Curb Appeal” and make our front yard no longer look like the Junky House of Madison Street.

We weeded, pulled out old mulch, re-mulched, trimmed bushes, planted flowers, picked up sticks and painted the front door. The place looks pretty good, even though the front door needs another coat of paint.

Lucy helped out by cleaning off any unused gardening tools, eating rocks we had thrown out and supervising the overall work load. She also practiced climbing up and down the front porch.
